Post by bass_culture » Mon Mar 12, 2012 10:55 pm

Seeing as the first promos for this came out today I thought it was about time this release had it's own thread! I know a lot of peeps been waiting on this one for a while. :h:

It's about time Coki put out a release that does his name justice. This will be the best Coki release in at least over a year.

Huge!

Out of curiousity though has there been any mention of what DMZ024 and 025 are going to be?

024 and 025 are the two plates in Coki's Don't get it Twisted EP.

Yep! No confirmed date yet seemingly, typical DMZ :P These were just a few up front promos sold yesterday through Sounds of the Universe.

ugh revolution really pisses me off. just don't like it at all. will probably buy for haymaker but in a way would wish coki would stop putting out DMZs, hopefully mala will have a similar 5 releases in 3 months or so after this!

Not really feelin' either of these.

I too wish Mala (and/or Loefah) would release more DMZs, bit too much Coki tbh.

You honestly think these are better than Ruff Lovin' or Marduk? Or the remixes he did for Greensleeves?

Admittedly, they are are better than Duppy Soursup and the Don't Get It Twisted EP.

i'm with everyone that wishes there were more mala and loefah releases, but i don't actually believe the DMZ release process is one of "it's either this or that". Like, if coki hadn't released anything these past months, I can't see there being any mala or loefah releases taking the places of those releases because history has clearly shown they release tracks when they feel to lol. I'm just glad there are a lot of releases coming from one of them.

Oh and why has everyone forgotten about the boomba/carbon aliens 12"? That was one of the best releases of last year

Agreed! Mala said last year that he probably wouldn't be putting much out over the coming year, and has been busy with Medi, SYSTEM and his cuban material... and we all know what Loefah's been up to! :D
