Need Help Finding A Natural Instrument Plugin

I've been producing for a few months now and recently switched from Reason 5 to FL Studio 10 and am trying to find some plugins/vst's that contain natural instruments (if that makes sense). Such as pianos, violins, guitars, flutes etc... So far in FL I've only found FL Keys which doesn't have a whole lot of piano patches.

In Reason 5, there was the NN-XT which had pretty much everything I needed but in FL I can't seem to find anything to emulate natural sounding instruments.

So I'm looking for plugins similar to the NN-XT with a big sound bank full of natural instruments like piano's, string's etc.....

Are Sylenth, Nexus or Omnisphere any good for this style or are there better ones out there?

Also I've tried edirol orchestral but I thought it was gay how your sound won't save with the project.

So any advice would be good thanks!

If you want realism multi sampled instruments, sound fonts, NI Kontakt instruments, EastWest...these kinds of things are your best bet. As with most things the more $$$ you spend the better quality you are going to get. DSK makes some good, but limited freeware natural instruments. I'm not familiar with Nexus, though I've heard of it. Omnisphere might be a good option. its like 500 bucks though.

Ive got edirol orchestral
its not bad has quite a few nice sounding natural instruments on it but you cant manipulate the sounds within the vst like other soft synths.

I use Kontakt, huge selection of sounds in there. If you're budget is a little lower than the full komplete package then try the komplete elements. Still get plenty in there but for a fraction of the price :W:

If you liked the instruments in reason, can't you just rewire it into FL Studios?

Otherwise there are a bunch of nice multisampled instruments that come with Kontakt or that you can add to Kontakt.

yeah why not just use reWire and employ the combi and nnxt patches that Reason provides
also, +1 for Kontakt, or Kontakt player/komplete elements if you're on a budget
EastWest is the best but very pricey

I've never used sylenth or nexus but omnisphere is a synth that makes use of both a synthesis engine and real sound sources, however, most of its patches are more ethereal, complex pad and synth sounds rather than real instruments. It uses samples of things like piano strings, guitars, bowed cymbals, all kinds of shit but really mangles them. So it isnt best for a natural sound.

Google? I've never really used them myself, but they are out there. You'll need a sound font player. I believe FL Studio includes one.

But yea, forgot about rewiring Reason into FL Studio...that way you can just use the instruments you already know.

Get sfz player and download the dx7 soundfonts or multisampled instruments from University of IOWA or similar resources.
