All our packs have ORIGINAL sounds, and is only intended to maybe give some inspiration to anyone making tunes..
Anyway!!! Samples have always been the core of most dance music from way back, including DNB, so where did you get that pretentious attitude from?
LOL
ONE LOVE!!!!

No doubt best tracks are made out of sample packs!
Anyway, this is a production forum not a market place.

I love you too...
Ok, so lets talk sample packs..
No doubt sample packs are a useful tool for lots of producers out there, and can inject a little bit of inspiration into anybodys productions.
A riff, a bass note, a production technique can spark off all sorts of things in your head.
Anyway, experienced producers who use sample libraries tend not to use an obvious chuck of a riff or completely rip off a bass note or sound.
What they would probably do is manipulate the sound to create something of there own, in other words create there own sound out of something elese.
Ist'nt that how most producers work?
I know i do..
ive been producing for over 12 years, and started out in jungle or ragga jungle as it was once termed along with many other names as the scene was developing..
Remember Scrawface - Dubtronix??? "Screwface gimme a thousand deaths worst then you, you know.. Find him your F***king self""
Im guilty for being the first producer to use film samples in drum n bass..
Anyway im blabbing on now!!!
My point is, I dont think anyone can diss people who use samples whether it be sampled from records or sampled from a sample pack..
Inspiration comes from somewhere..
I can hear beats from dripping water from a tap.. Thats how DEEP I am!! LOL
I know some people feel what im saying when i say this..
(Hey Daft tnuc.. Its not a market place, your're right, and i appologise)
Peace

Again, there's nothing wrong with samples. Everybody use them.
Producers make their own.

Producers make their own?
Total bullshit. Yes, we all use synths etc but everyone gets samples from somewhere. We all use samples, be they ripped from old records, 320s, recordings, TV, radio or sample packs - whatever.
The problem I have with sample packs is that their quality is often dubious.
And this is a production forum. Where else is someone meant to talk about samples.
Totally legitimate thread IMO!

Sorry for being unclear. Making your own samples does include sampling movies & stuff.
It's just so much more stimulating to get them by yourself...
than pay for it.

You show me one track you've made that hasn'nt used any samples ie from a sound module, reason fills, synthesier etc
It could even be Kick drum, a snare, a hihat etc etc...
It dont matter if the sound comes from a sample pack or a sythesiser or reason refills.. Its all the god damn same man!! lol
Am a right?

I checked this out yesterday (got a myspace message)
I was sold on it the minute I heard the example song.
going to scoop it up as soon as I can!
to the haterz...
I'd never build a tune completely out of samples, but as a tool in my swiss army knife of sounds...
this is a great addition

Er...no. it's not all the same.
Yes, we all use synths but some of us actually know how to use them and program our own sounds - and these sounds could even be a Kick Drum, a Snare, a Hi-Hat etc...
As for samples. Hunting down unusual sounds from old records, tv shows, films or even getting a crappy mic and recording things you hear around you is, in my view, an essential part of the production process. It's all about making your own sound palette - creating something truly unique.
Granted, some people do use sample packs creatively but more often than not they are just a shortcut to making a bog-standard tune.

Yes, you're right to some degree. One can make a whole range of sounds with a very limited starting set of samples, by chopping, equalizing, pitch-shifting, compressing andsoforth. That's also the point of the people who don't like sample packs, since the makers of those give the impression that you don't need to do that anymore, which leads to same-y sounds.
