Luca Ruzzola - Gaia's a fat b*tch (Classic?)

Post by LucaWuz » Thu Mar 15, 2012 9:47 pm

Hi everyone this is my first post on this awesome forum, and this Soundcloud is my first dubstep-ish track! Any suggestions are welcome! =) Please note that I have just Ableton Live and a Roland Gaia, no good softsynth so automating nice wobbles etc. is kinda hard! To make this track I've used some drumsamples which have been layed on top of each other, a lot of compression (ableton internal vst compressor), a vst piano (ableton basic one), and other synths which have been heavily effected and which are sounds sampled from a Roland Gaia. Have a listen and a nice day! :D

Not bad for your first one, the drum samples could layered a bit more and give the bass a little more high end.

Might I ask how you have your Gaia hooked up to your computer? I have one too and the driver won't work right >.<

I've just installed the driver in the cd and connected it through the usb cable, selected the same usb as audio input (since i have a crappy soundcard and otherwise everything sounded sh*t) and raiswd the channel gain a bit (output's a bit low) and sampled a "C". If the drivers are not working maybe you can look for newer ones on their site. Have a nice day, hope this helped :)
