Drop Records- Independent Record Shop In Bath, UK

Post by drop records » Wed Jul 11, 2007 4:40 pm

Ez all, I’ve been meaning to do this for months, but keep forgetting…

We opened up last August, and specialise heavily in Dubstep, along with all the other related genres like Drum & Bass / Jungle, Hip Hop, Breaks, Scratch Tools, Reggae, Electronica, Old Skool, Funk & Soul, Breakcore, House & anything else that might take our fancy.

Bath may not be known for its Dubstep following, but there’s definitely enough heads around here feelin the sub pressure, especially with Bristol just down the road. We stock every release worth its mustard, including more obscure downtempo, breakstep & glitchy stuff.

For peeps that might know Bath, we’re in the same building that Replay used to inhabit on Broad Street (just up from the Pig & Fiddle pub). We get new releases and promos every week, with extensive back catalogues for all our genres.

Check us out @ http://www.myspace.com/droprecords

We’ve also got a website nearly ready for launch, so expect to see info about that as soon as its live..

Nice one!

Can't recommend this shop enough. Allright, i'm a bit biased seeing as its my local supplier of the drug known as vinyl, but it really is a top shop. And you've all gotta support yer local independent's 'cos they're a dying breed!!

Big stock of dubstep, with plenty of older stuff that some people on here may have found tricky to get hold of (probably due to the fact that Bath doesn't have much of a dubstep following)

Needs to get the website sorted!!

in the same building yes, but a completely different business, we specialise more, while in replay you could still buy the beatles & the rolling stones... you'll be amazed by how clean it looks now if you used to come in replay!

Cant speak highly enough of Drop Records. Slack and his misses are two of the nicest people i've ever met. Plus the music selection is always on point.
Big up.
