problem after updating ableton

just updated ableton and i'm having a problem. any sound with reverb or delay has an unwanted automatic feedback. for example, if i play a single hi hat with reverb, it will have a 3-4 second tail on it. doesn't make a difference what setting the reverb or delay is, there is still that tail!
anyone know what's causing this?
already asked this in the ableton forum, but nobody responded.

Try going back to 8.2.6, as 8.2.8 seems to be a little buggy IMO

I had several crashes after installing 8.2.8. It seems to be buggy as hell

What's the new version do different (is it just bug fixes)? I think I’m still on 8.1 or an early 8.2
I always hesitate to update things as soon as an OTA update comes out due to bugs and glitches... which sucks when you have a few projects you want to finish. But if there's some new stuff I just can't miss than I’m on it.

yea it's just bugs. i was on 8.2.1 prior. still haven't found a solution to my problem

Just never bothered upgrading
