When I transpose a chord sample what am I playing?

I have this excellent patch that is included with Omnisphere, it's called 'cleansing lounge'. I found a track some guy on KVR made that features it (here: http://lightsfadelow.com/track/cold-fut ... isco-remix) if you don't have Omnisphere. This might have come with the Moog tribute library, I'm not sure.

The problem is I wan't to play these chords along with the patch using different synths. This patch is made using a sample soundsource which is a minor chord being played on some type of organ or EP. I can't figure out which chord I would be playing if I played this patch on a lower key, so I'm having difficulty writing counter-melodies and such.

How can I figure this out?

its root will probably be the key you strike
from there, if it's a minor chord, just build it up from the root by adding its minor third (3 half steps), followed by its 5th (7 half steps from root, or 4 more from the minor 3rd)
