The mighty Trojan Sound System need no introduction. Trojan records are synonymous with quality original Reggae the world over, so you know what’s coming to you. And you know you’re gonna love it. Legendary selectors Earl Gateshead and Daddy Ad are joined on stage by original reggae singers to form the Trojan Sound System, an unstoppable machine spreading love, good vibes and authentic Reggae party tunes wherever they go. Watch out for a string of releases (the first “Turn To The East” is sold out already) from the TSS crew in 2012!
Channel One with Jah T and Mikey Dread is one of the World’s Top Sound Systems playing Roots & Culture music. 30 years ago Channel One Sound System started the Era of the house parties / blues dances in London, and went on to play at venues that would become legendary including The Leyton Youth Club, The Four Aces or the Brixton Recreation amongst others. From 1983 Channel One was the first Sound System to take Roots/ Dub music internationally, to colleges, polytechnics and Universities. Their first international dance was in Italy in 1990, and since then they have played many infamous sessions across Europe, Israel, Turkey, New Zealand and Australia… and recently won a soundclash against Skream & Benga, Goldie’s Metalheadz and the Souljazz Soundsystem by popular vote. Serious business.
Reggae Roast is one of the most vibrant, new reggae collectives in the UK and since 2007 they have been spreading their sound of conscious roots music across the globe. Reggae Roast have seen the likes of Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Sly & Robbie, Mad Professor, Aba Shanti-I, Iration Steppas and Adrian Sherwood grace their vibrant London residency in the past whilst DJ Wrongtom’s recent collaboration with Roots Manuva in “Duppy Writer” has seen him emerge as one of the UK’s foremost contemporary dub djs and producers.
