How to make "pitch-slide" in Cubase?

Post by 4rantare » Mon Mar 19, 2012 9:58 pm

OK, I know most of you dislike Skrillex, but it is a great example of what I mean:

How do you these with or without Cubase? If I have a VSTi I can just pitchbend, but with audio I haven't found any pitchbending process.. only the one that changes pitch for a "whole" sample. So how'd do it?

Pretty sure the sound he is talking about isnt even by skrillex, that song is by major lazer is it not? so you kinda just mad yourself look like a nob :W: and tbh im also interested in other ways to automate the pitch of samples in cubase other than using the pitch shift function as it just seems so ridged for somethings, its probably really simple in cubase but coming from FL im not really too educated on cubase yet

Found anything? still trying to do some automated pitch shift on audio samples.. cutting and doing it manually takes alot of time =P

What you can do is put the vocal sample into a sampler and automate the pitch of the sampler, every sampler should be able to do that.

Select audio clip then go to the menu, audio, process, pitch shift, select the envelope tab. It's the best you can have with cubase but yeah it sucks
