In for sure.
I can vouch for the quality of the prize.
I use the samples everyday.

Can I surrender if I fail to make something I'm happy with?
Like give it a try.
I'm a beginner and most probably I will fail haha.

"- All tunes must be build/written ONLY during the above time frame"
I doubt that will be followed.
But i still would like to join.

Enter whatever you make, ChadDub almost won it a while back with a short incomplete loop.
killkisaragi - this comp has run for a long time now.
Everyone seems to follow the rules.
Plus you`re only cheating yourself if you don`t follow the rules.

I know about the "cheating yourself" aspect, but i stand corrected still. Sorry.Electric_Head wrote:Enter whatever you make, ChadDub almost won it a while back with a short incomplete loop.

Only this time, cheating will win you an actual prize.
Re: April 48 Hour Competition ROLL CALL! (Prizes to be won)
I've done this competition several times and I've always followed those rules. However, to cut down on time I tend to use a lot of samples. The one time I tried to use nothing but synths I really wasted way to much time twiddling knobs trying to get my sounds right.killkisaragi wrote:"- All tunes must be build/written ONLY during the above time frame"

That's actually something this competition taught me about myself. I spend way too much time on the small things before I even look at the big things that need to be done. Participating in these comps has actually helped me improve my workflow. So even if you don't win, you might still be able to learn something in the process.

This. Although it's the first time there is a prize.Electric_Head wrote:killkisaragi - this comp has run for a long time now.

I'm testing the waters, see how it all goes. Hoping to get more people involved as this is a awesome contest which imo can get even better. I put plenty of time in the organization of this and even sponsor a prize. If people don't appreciate this and choose to cheat, cheat only them selfs as Electric Head said, are ruining it for everybody else, which is very sad. So don't cheat because i'll find out, and I & the people you ruined it for will hunt you down

The prize is the self-realization that can occur.
