Cat Ninjas!

I'm not a cat person at all so really have very little idea about them, I therefore require your help.

We have a local cat that always comes into my house and hangs out. Recently we noticed its inner eyelid was torn and is in the middle of its eye. Since then hes basically started living at my house. He's also started meowing quite loud, which he didn't do before. I chuck him out when I go to bed but as soon as I or another housemate is awake he comes into our house and sleeps. Now normally you'd think he just goes home but the other day i chucked him out at 6am and he was back at 8am and spent the whole day at our place again.

Firstly I know I should take him to the vets to get his eye checked but what should I do about him deciding to live at my place? He's always here so he must hungry but I don't want to feed him in case he spends more time here and his real owners end up dissapointed.

Advice please cat ninjas.

I wouldn't take him to the vet unless you want to foot the bill...

Don't you have shelters or something?

offer him raw meat or any shit, when cats refuse to eat is often a sign of infections.

Take him to the vets. Explain that he isn't your cat but you want him checked over, if you gotta foot the bill...foot the bill. They didn't make me foot a bill when I did something similar.

Don't let the little man suffer. :)

Ps. Keep him, cats are awesome.
