re: iPhone - only works on 3GS and up - only works well on 4, though. Just FYI.
The new standard in pro audio apps, imo.

this is a great app.
my ipad is increasingly becoming a huge part of my production work flow. I got a soundcard for it (couple ins/outs xlr and trs) and its a serious work horse. Some of my much more valuable gear is getting dusty lol.

but holy fucking shit, that's $30 now?! best fucking deal ever.
and to people that don't own it yet - Animoog is by far the best synth on any mobile device. GET IT.

Shit is like crack. I was up way too late last night fuckin' with it... And I'll say this much: one of the only nagging gripes I had about making music on IOS was that it's all but impossible to get a truly "warm" sound out of it, but this app takes a huge step towards conquering that. It's as close to a warm sound as you can currently get out of IOS, imo.

Does anyone use an iPad with a production PC? Also how would an iPad connect to a desktop PC without WiFi capabilities?
EDIT: I've seen an Alesis IO Dock, but that's the extent of my knowledge regarding iPads and how they would interface with a PC digital workstation.

i just grabbed it because of this thread, and after i wrapped my head around how to setup the x/y and the timbres correctly it started to get super cool. I am going to be resampling the crap out this thing.
I actually want to write a complete track on the ipad only bouncing things for processing/mixdown/arraingment but i want to generate all source samples from animoog, ims-20 and the Daw thing Nano w/e its called i cant remember atm. I think it would be a cool excercise to limit myself to the ipad like that.

I call my wife the MIDI widow because of all the late night jam sessions she has to break up so I get enough sleep for work.
