Vermont – US – With 36 Chambers of styles, Nickel B performs a coherent blend of dubstep, reggae, downtempo, house, & more. He has studied and practices the traditions of scratching and harmonic mixing and is known to cause crowds to gyrate heavily. As a producer and DJ he is a longtime member of Itation Sound System and co-founder of the award winning label Itation Records. He is also a resident DJ at the infamous Bass Culture night. As a producer, Nickel B releases original dubstep & downtempo and has also contributed to over 50 successful releases for major recording artists and legends like Freddie McGregor, Missy Elliot, Jazmine Sullivan,Sizzla, and Wayne Wonder- some of these tracks winning industry awards including a Grammy Nomination. On the tables since 1995, he has shared the stage and promoted events for a wide spectrum of artists like Jimmy Cliff, Beenie Man, Truth, Sean Paul, Wu-Tang, Barrington Levy, Goth Trad, DFRNT, Eskmo, Jakes, Roska, Mos Def, Dead Prez, Delly Ranx, Buju Banton, and the great Burning Spear. With a long history of releasing award winning mixes and collecting sound clash trophies, recent years have seen Nickel B focusing on new flows while holding down a established EDM residency known as Bass Culture, located the legendary Club Metronome with the talented DJ Jahson and an amazing array of international guest DJs.
