Best Synth for me?

What synth would you recommend to me for creating dubstep leads and some textured wobbles. NOT MASSIVE because I already have that and besides Omnisphere because I don't like it too much. I'm looking into zebra z3ta+ 2 and alchemy. Any suggestions?

Native FM8 isn't bad if you want something slightly less jarring than Massive and GForce Oddity can make some unique sounds

I've tried FM8 and I really don't like it. Never heard of GForce Oddity though I'll look into it.

I'll look into it, thanks!

Absynth definitely.

Would suggest Reaktor, but it's super expensive.

Honestly, getting Komplete is totally worth it. You get Absynth Massive and Reaktor (and wayyyyyy more beyond that as well) for the price of Reaktor.

I would recommend that you keep learning synthesis through Massive. :O

This. You can do pretty much ANYTHING in reaktor, plugins, synths, anything. Absynth is great for sound designing, all my sci fi / horror ambience comes from absynth.

i really like razor for reaktor (which works in reaktor player which is free so you could only pay for razor) although its made for basses its really good for any sound if you dig in.
also i agree fm8 isnt all that, i prefer sytrus in FL way more!
also stick to using massive and try new things in there, i think its funny when people say that massive always has the same sound (which iv seen said PLENTY in other threads)

Ive been thinking of getting komplete 8 but I haven't made up my mind. I think its a bit out of my price range. Im looking more into getting a single synth.

It's great for anything. I make my most brostep bass sounds in it. The kinda shit you hear with the formant oscillators in Massive. It's unfortunate that they market it to seem like it's only good for ambient droney kinds of sounds. It's an amazing synthesizer. Can also be used as an FX plugin, or a filter. The only thing I wish is that its bandpass filter had a bandwidth control like its bandreject filter does.

It's not so much that Massive always has the same sound as that Massive has an overall distinct sound. It is rather easy to listen to a track and pick out every sound that has been created with Massive. I'm not saying anyone should stop using Massive. I use Massive, but like everything else it has times and places it should be used and times and places where you should try and get away from it. There are way too many people who rely on Massive far too heavily.

That's not necessarily true. You're just used to hearing certain wavetables from Massive used in very similar ways. Massive's been available for years, but only now that you know what mainstream dubstep sounds like do you think that Massive has a certain sound to it.

I have a couple projects where I use only Massive and I highly doubt you'd be able to pick them out from any of my other tunes.

Massive really is an incredible synth. It was part of the inspiration behind Diversion (by Dmitry Sches). If you try and forget everything you know about Massive from watching 16-year-old-producer youtube video tutorials, I think you'll have a change of heart.
