Deadly no disrespect i know your american but really oasis.Stone roses are simply the best band to come out of manchester and ian brown still puts out better music then both them tnuc brothers.
Also composition wise the verve were a much better band just shame they couldn't keep it together because they would have ruled for all eternity.
Also muse if you want to talk composition are head and shoulders above oasis.
I normally agree with most of what you post but you are well off the mark with that son,you feeling alright?

Also yeah on the radiohead thing, they are probably my favourite uk band even if Thom Yorke's voice can be well whiney, they just put out a constant flow of decent music.

Yeah compositionally I think radiohead really takes the cake, kid A changed my life. But personally, I don't think anyone has ever matched the depth and soul of Pink Floyd. Muse comes pretty close to raidiohead, too, as mentioned above.

I've always liked a psyche edge to my 'rock', so Radiohead, Flaming Lips, hell even some Garbage circa '97.

Shit man i got tortured by my bro during the 90's indie music scene.Happy monday's,inspiral carpet's,James, stone roses fucking hell man the tnuc even got a perm hahahahaha
Saying that if it wasn't for him i would never have heard massive attacks unfinshed sympathy or prodigy's first album so props big bro even if we do hate each other.

Yoshimi was a trip of an album, Flaming Lips definitely compete with radiohead as far as I'm concerned, great mention.wub wrote:I've always liked a psyche edge to my 'rock', so Radiohead, Flaming Lips, hell even some Garbage circa '97.

Flaming lips are fucking amazing. Yoshimi battles the pink robots, the whole album is written amazingly.wub wrote:I've always liked a psyche edge to my 'rock', so Radiohead, Flaming Lips, hell even some Garbage circa '97.

I got to see them live when they did the embryonic tour and it was unreal.

Agreed, I've seen them a couple of times. Last one was at Primavera in Barcelona, mindblowing.
