How did these people get noticed?

For example I heard from some interview that Datsik started off on this forum.
I know that he's where he is at now because he has talent but.. did he just get lucky?
Or did he do something specific to get himself noticed? (other than putting his tracks here)

Essentially, don't expect to 'get noticed'
people are only going to notice you, if you are noticable.
you could sow thousands of seeds, but unless you water and feed them, it's going to be a poor harvest.

everytime a "tune" is played, its actually your brain just projecting a sound in your head to what u think it would sound like

I think it's just if you have the right ability and are doing something different
same can be said about Hip Hop
Have many people ever heard Danny Brown's hybrid album? No, because he was still selling crack and dressing like a normal person
Have many people heard Danny Brown's XXX album? Yes, because he wears tiger striped pants, designer adidas shoes and he has a flock of seagulls haircut
still the same quality on both albums
