Getting things off my iPod

Alrighty, basically I got my ipod working again recently. The charger was just nackered but ive got another one and yeah its got everything still on it. Been ages as well. But yeah, I found something on it that id completely forgotten about, a mix I did a year or two ago as a promo for a night in cardiff called Obey. And basically, ive given it a listen again and I fucking love it! Actually really impressed myself with the dynamics of the mix as a whole, best mix I think ive ever made in terms of the selection, takes it through real nicely from new and old ambient tunes/post dubstep stuff, then some real roots uk bass music sounds then finishing with (imo i guess!) the interesting side of modern bass rooted house stuff.
Anyway, I got sidetracked. Basically, ive got the mix on the ipod, but I appear to have lost the copy on my computer at some point! And I really want to upload it somewhere and whack it up here! But it wont seem to let me copy it back on to my computer at all. Really annoying lol I can listen to it myself so happy enough, but would love to get this mix up here and other places, as the promo for Obey that never happened lol
Anyone? Surely its doable and im just being a spaz...

you could just record it from the headphone jack to your soundcard couldn't you?
idk if that fucks up the quality or something, im not a huge audiophile
im sure there's a way to do it digitally but i think it takes forever or you need hax0r skillz

There are programs out there that allow you to copy stuff across for free but my memory is being abit shit right now.
Try googling stuff like "ipod Ripper" atleast until someone else comes up with a direct link to something.
Ehpod rings a bell.. hmm.
http://www.ephpod.com/download.shtml
When i used it years ago it was pretty much drag and drop.

There are softwares that do this, a quick google search gave me this:
http://www.engadget.com/2004/11/02/how- ... your-ipod/
never tried the freewares they mention (i used to use another one but i forgot its name)
if you can't be bothered to install a program, then activate the hard drive mode on your ipod and you should be able to access it as a folder; from then on enter the "iPod_Control" invisible folder, then Music, all the Music is stored there and you can copy it to your hard drive. A bit boring though as it's randomly stored in numerous folders (50 on mine)

I used one back when I was on PC, think it was called iRip.
These days, on my Mac, I use Senuti which works perfectly.
Both of those are commercial products, but I'm sure they both have trials that would be just fine if you're only gonna copy a few files (the trials usually have limitations on how many tracks you can transfer before you have to pay).
