you making club music or headphones music?
for club music, connect with DJs locally. the internet is supersaturated with people making good music & bad music. the very good and unique sounding stuff can probably get picked up if you send it to a ton of labels with a personal note (showing that you arent just spamming everyone en masse). the stuff that is good but not stellar might get lost in the wash, so connect with people who play music at parties and ask if they want some of your demos/dubs. if someone gave me a CD in person, I'd listen to every track on it regardless of how it sounded. if a local guy rates your sound and plays it out, you can at least gain traction locally.
for headphone stuff, I have no idea. maybe connect with some of the local college radio stations? they like to get new stuff.
i could be way off the mark though. I've heard/read that the best thing to do is to just keep making music and not worry about selling it for as long as you can. you are always in a better position to break through if you are sitting on a vault full of magic anyways

Good music doesn't need marketing it's just needs to be heard, how? figure it out.

I think it's safe to say that if anyone on this forum knew how to effectively market themselves, they'd be busy touring rather than giving feedback on DSF.

Tune in your sig is sick btw. Send it to people/labels pushing that sorta sound. If that was my track i'd be sending it straight to the night slugs guys and possibly see what the guys at hessle have to say. I'd probably send it to skream and benga too, they're on R1 now so wanna push as many different styles as they can. Send it to your local djs too if you go to nights with that music on, good to get a bit of local exposure.
You never know man, you only need one big artist to like it and play it.. even if the rest hate it. I remember reading Hatcha didnt like Midnight Request Line and never played it until Yunx played it and he realised it was sick.. if that never got sent to Yunx as well as Hatcha we may never have heard that tune.

Keep doing what you're doing bro. Send stuff to labels you're feeling and you feel that fit your sound.
Label's will have their own fanbases. Don't stress about networking. Send your tracks to your mates who dj, but if your stuff is released on the right label, fans of the label will take notice.

What do you guys think about putting up tunes for free? I put most of my shit online for free, but when I have had interest from labels they said they can't take them because I have given away free ones, is this a common concern? Thanks for all the comments and advice.
