I feel that the drums in brostep are by far the most uninspiring part of that sound. One only has to listen to Ammunition & Blackdown Present: The Roots Of Dubstep to hear the myriad drum patterns that fed into the sound that is dubstep, and it's a great shame that the sound that has prevailed in the mainstream is of the DUM....TSSH!...DUM....TSSH! variety.

My Knife party trumps your Feed Me.
But your 16BIT beats my Modestep.
I play you a DJ Fresh. Special move you say? Making 12 yearolds cover themselves in fluorescent paint and scream "i love the Klaxons" until you kill yourself.

That being said, I see your Knife Party and raise you Chasing Shadows.
@garethom, completely agreed. I wish people had a greater appreciation for how much percussion and interesting drums can bring to a tune. So many brostep tunes sound like they were produced at 70bpm cos of the lack of energy in the drums

Never thought I would be happy to see a brostep thread.
16bit makes some deeper tunes but so many people forget about them & make brilliant tear ou.

I've always liked Chasing shadows... But a lot of their basslines sound the same...
I see your Chasing Shadows and raise you one Cutline. Because I just loooooooove Generic female vocals over high pitched frequencies...

Why can't we stop the arguing and just let the bass cannon kick it?
