"A lot can happen in nine months. Born late in the summer of 2011, Reconstrvct has built up quite a reputation, indeed one of the most newest yet most advancing electronic music gathering in North America. The bi-monthly (once every 2 months) underground event brings together enthusiasts and fans from a multitude of time zones, all to celebrate the most prolific, forward thinking artists, producers, and DJ’s in the electronic dance music scene. With no exceptions, an RSVP is required for entry, as the private location is not announced until the day of the event. Newcomers need not worry, as the mobile-friendly website is equipped with a geolocation feature, providing turn-by-turn directions from one’s location to the announced venue.
Staying true to the mantra “Low Frequency with Decency”, the blissful vibe is authentic and relaxed, thus devoid of the uniformity that so commonly propagates today’s mainstream culture. Those who’ve shared the experience know that the fusing of key elements is what makes for a truly epic night. Resident and guest DJ’s like Baltimore’s Joe Nice (former Dubwar resident) mix real vinyl and freshly pressed, exclusive dub plates on the custom-built sound system provided by Andrew Eiselle (former sound engineer at legendary Club Love of Tsunami Bass Experience).
While other events and club nights have bastardized the music for commercial gain, or simply lost steam, Reconstrvct is breaking new ground with its first annual forthcoming event entitled Reconstrvct Brooklyn, New York Presents Outlook Festival Launch Party June 2, 2012.
For this special collaborative event, we’ve teamed up to the Outlook Festival organizers to bring forth an unparalleled, international line-up to a special new Brooklyn venue. Over the course of the night, two lucky rsvp winners will be given tickets to the week long festival in Fort Punta Cristo Croatia nestled along the Mediterranean coastline. In addition, limited edition silkscreen prints and t-shirts will be given out as well as available for purchase. The party will begin at sharply 10pm and go until just before sunrise.
Although the insanely talented Goth Trad had originally been booked for this event, due to visa delay he was forced to cancel; the good news is he is coming later in the summer and the Deep Medi veteran and sound master known as ________ is coming to hold it down. We can’t announce til day of the event who it is, but we promise it is not going to disappoint.
Author, is the brainchild of Leeds based electronic producers Jack Sparrow and Ruckspin. It may be a new name on the scene, yet the producer duo that constitutes Author are certainly no newbies in their own right. Both Ruckspin and Jack Sparrow have established themselves as highly gifted and hardworking producers, dedicated to engineering optimum quality sounds. Removed from the pressure of the dance floor, Author takes the baton from Kruder & Dorfmeister’s ‘K&D Sessions’, The Cinematic Orchestra and timeless Mowax recordings in exploring more spacious arrangements and sounds. It represents the opportunity to experiment within the context of electronic music, collaborating with live musicians and celebrating a wide palate of musical influences. Jack Sparrow has had a slew of deep dance floor killers under his belt on Contagious, Earwax, and Pushing Red Recordings, as well as jaw-dropping debut LP ‘Circadian’ out on Tectonic last year. Alongside Sparrow, fellow Leeds based beat-sculptor, long standing friend Ruckspin is also a key member and producer for the live band super-group Submotion Orchestra.
Representing Baltimore and one of Reconstrvct’s resident DJ’s, JoeNice is universally recognized as the ambassador of the new sound in North America and has been instrumental in the growth and success of electronic music for nearly a decade, playing the music long before it was widely known. A true performer having toured the world as well as the States, JoeNice is known for his enthusiastic stage presence, exclusive track selections, and impeccable mixing skills. His record bag is a who’s who of one off and VIP releases being that it if you’ve never heard it before, chances are, you will hear it from JoeNice. As a co-founder of the now defunct, legendary Dubwar night in NYC, he was recently selected by URB magazine’s next 100 and is continually taking the sound to new levels.
Reconstrvct’s own TrueNature has been on it, working relentlessly in his Brooklyn studio preparing something special for the christening set. Please prepare for a truly remarkable night in Brooklyn, New York as we celebrate Reconstrvct’s 1st Annual Launch of the Outlook Festival. As usual, come as you are, bring your dancing shoes, and leave high on music."
