Why does it have to be better or worse than the original? Both tracks are great. Let's just enjoy them both.
The remix would not exist without Joy's original or his and Will's idea to ask Shed to remix it.
To say it "blows the original out of the water: is a tad disrespectful IMO. You've only heard about 90 seconds of it without other tunes played over the top.

It's not a case of whether it "has to be" anything. I just prefer it to the original tune.
