Thank you Elders!

Post by collective » Thu May 17, 2012 5:50 pm

I wanted to toss a shout out to the elder members that have bestowed a great deal of knowledge on this forum over the years. I personally respect the effort y'all have done, and some (most?) of that knowledge has led to my signing with R&S/Apollo ... so big up the elders!

And to all the young folk, seems like commonsense but take in as much as you can from the elders, while some of it may not seem to serve you instantly you'd be surprised in the long run.

You can delete this thread, I just felt the need to shout out the knowledge/information this forum pushes and the results it has on personal careers.

thanks everybody, appreciate. Like I said, go ahead and delete this post as it doesn't yet pertain to production, although it could.

I have been making music in general for over a decade, using some sort of sequencers and then computer software for about the same time.

R&S / Apollo are sister labels one being an experimental side releasing for example aphex twin's "selected ambient works". I wanna be clear my first ep is coming out on Apollo side of the of the label and not R&S which is more dance oriented (i wish it was R&S :D but i think apollo fits better for this one). Some great releases coming out I wish I could scream about.

And I do owe a lot to the info and discussion produced on this website.

Edit - I didn`t realize it was you easysimple.

Smashing it for years now.
Domicile is such a track but I enjoy all of your stuff.
Specifically your more slomoish hip hop stuff as I've mentioned to you.

Nice brother :Q:
