I'm looking for samples like blips, risers sirens and just general dub sounds.I know to search for old reggae vinyl and stuff like that but does anyone know of a direct source or a good source for vinyl.
I have happened along some good quality acapellas and want to venture into some congo natty style jungle.
Any help from the board will be hugely appreciated.

Rasta box is fun as hell. Can't use it though can u?

*cue simpson's kid w/the "haha!"*

Personally I say make ur own in whatever subtraCtive you've got. Just push those lfo's and env's as far as they go, in combination w each other. It's fun, just use a synth that won't alias as it goes up there.

Building your own is pretty fun, and there's lots of prebuilt ones on ebay. I've made some before using this http://www.interruptor.ch/dub_diysiren.shtml

If you've ever done basic circuit bending, it's about the same.

Sorry, didn't know you needed AU specific. I'm not sure how well those I linked will work with a wrapper, they are SynthEdit plugins I think, and I know SE is very picky.

They are quite easy to synth though, sines/squares a lot of portamento and pitch envelopes and LFOs sync to amp or other odd places. Apply extra effects to taste.

Cheers for the tips bud, gonna start building the track tomorrow so will have a bash at making my own sounds and using sirens and stuff.I have the soundbwoy sample cd so dub beats sampled of vinyl are in my armoury and i got 2 Top cat acapellas that are so crisp sounding it is scary.Looking forward to the challenge,i was thinking going for the 140 jungle route but i have a track planned out and started for that already so may just go balls out and go the ragga jungle route.I had so many congo natty vinyls before i sold my collection and would love to nail his sound so wish me luck.

Right i have seen me old thread emerge from the quagmire so thought i would respond. Now the pack i received form the two extremely helpful forum users are on my computer somewhere that will take me tooooooo long to look for as i'm one extremely busy individual but i can supply the board with an endless supply of congo natty-esque sample sources.

http://www.discogs.com/lists/Congo-Natt ... ces/143904

List of vinyl he sampled.

Also soundclashes, the link below has many and they are fully downloadable,i apologise on here now for the raping his soundcloud will probably receive over he next few days. You will need to serch as i did for days and days because there are some gems but also some serious stinkers.
All the vocals in my dub sig tune i found in his soundcloud, all from one soundclash so happy hunting!!!!

??????No in other words i have at 50 dvd's full of audio and they are on one of them,i have given you the sample sources gongo natty used himself. It's fact that all the dub sirens used in old jungle were sampled from the very sources i posted here and to be quite honest the soundcloud link i posted is a goldmine.
I literally downloaded one and got most of the samples for my dub tune.
If you want give me your address and i'll come round to wipe your arse for you after you've had a shit?I'm rather willing.
Honestly i shouldn't have posted the links and if you think for one minute i'm serching through 50 dvd's of audio for one folder when you can't be arsed to check the links them quite frankly you can go fuck yourself.

Also just for the record the pack metropolis gladly sent me which i appreciated endlessly was not what i was looking for anyway!!!
It was gunshots, short vocal bursts and not gongo natty-esque samples like what are in the files on that soundcloud page.
That bit in my pm where i said i'll happily send it if i come across it you got no chance mate!Happy hunting

Any chance of being able to have a listen to what you come up with? Do love me a bit of jungle. Well, a lot, tbh.
