Layering Bass

So I'm new to dubstep and all, well not new but really sh!t.
I've made my first good sounding dubstep song, the synth and all sounds pretty good to me, but then with the bass sounds it sounds boring and terribly layered.
I dont know how to EQ or any of that technical sh!t so when you tell me to do stuff be specific, lol.
Any good tutorials or ideas for bass sounds, because mine sound really boring.
And for the layering, it sounds like a bunch of bass sounds just squashed into each other, its terrible.
Help please.
Btw I use Ableton Live.

Would of been good if it was calyx and they were just making their sounds straight out of massive, how jealous would we all be.
