Fl studio and boobs

So basically, after adding a couple of (not that cpu hungry at all) plugins, say 20'ish, my cpu is around 70, asio4all won't fix it at all, and my cpu usage overall is less than 20%, in fl it will be like at 80%. I can use other stuff in the background, hell I can even play videogames without any trouble, but even when I shut everything down FL will clip like a beach.
Any tips before I start bouncing down like I had to do with my old laptop, which had 2 ram and 5200rpm, duo core and could handle more plugins than this one with 8ram 7200rpm, i7

First of all, is your operating system 32 bit? Second, Is your FL studio 32 bit? Third, you said 20 plugins, which plugins?

On a note, it's not reinstalled, just took the folder and copied to this laptop, you think that might be a cause?

Often times there can be problems with that because when you copy just folders, shit from the registry isn't copied... Also I've heard ASIO is kind of CPU intensive.

Nope 64, FL studio is i think 32, when i got it first i had windows XP, ive tried running it in comp mode for xp too but no results, plugs were mostly fl inbuilt plugins, mostly delays and reverb, a couple of distortyr and eq, one 3xosc channel just for sub. Didn't even finish the intro, loads of samples, around 50 - 70 but when i took off the fx vsts cpu went to 1, so it seems the plugs take much cpu, but they shouldnt really, they are taking too much .__.

This is kind of a problem... 32 bit applications can only use up to 4gb of ram. You should still be able to use more than 20 plugins though. Did you copy the fl studio folder from a 32 bit operating system?

Don't know about FL studio but are you using sends/busses/aux's? I usually just route an effect
straight to a synth in Reason but that takes a lot of cpu.

I don't get the other replies in this thread, how can you install something differently so it uses less cpu?

Didn't add busses yet, dude first track I started working on with my new laptop that works great with everything else, just worked yesterday and today and it starts clipping
Well maybe it optimises some stuff when you install it properly, I just gotta get down and go to the dark place called AFK and actually look up the disc which is a hard quest
