With five events, two zines, three free EPs and a host of collaborative nights under our belt, we feel have come a long way in our 1st year. On Friday 20th July we will be bringing together a selection of our favourite acts to come and celebrate the landmark with us.

We had VISIONIST down at our second event back in September of last year and had to get him down again as in our opinion he is one of the freshest and most exciting DJs and producers going. His scattershot rhythms, coarse vocal samples and eerie atmospheres bear the unique mark of a producer crafting his own sound and it is rightfully winning him the attention he deserves. The hypnotic, breathless draw of his rhythmic construction is what really puts him ahead of the pack as he draws on London’s murky underground to inform his nebulous grime productions. Already with releases on 92 Points, Left_Blank and Diskotopia under his belt and with further releases scheduled on Blackdown's Keysound Recordings label and Oneman's burgeoning 502 imprint, his stock is undoubtedly going to continue rising.

Imbued with the experimental spirit of grime at its sharpest, LOGOS’ music channels the essence of London’s underground into otherworldly and frequently brilliant productions. The recent standout ‘Kowloon’ EP explored the sparse constructions and sonic brutalism of early grime productions, most notably drawing upon Wiley’s famed eski productions and beatless instrumental ‘devil mixes’ as inspiration, and channeled them into a futuristic and often menacing vision. However, while referencing these early productions, Logos finds his own distinct voice within this context, taking the claustrophobic aggression and blasting it out in to space with his cinematic soundscapes, bruised soul and stuttering drum machine rhythms. Get to know!

Informed by the UK's rich heritage in underground electronic music, as well as more immediate influences from further afield, BLACKWAX’s dark, rugged productions are aglow with the srebme of thirty years of musical history. From the rhythmic intricacies of jungle, through the sonic power of grime right up until the straight dance floor vibes of UK Funky in its proliferating forms, Blackwax embody the experimentalism and pure power that these genres have pioneered. Their set at our third event was straight fire and elicited one of the most excited reactions yet so we just had to get them back.

The contribution of TIM & BARRY to underground music extends way beyond what may appear on the surface. From their championing of a nascent grime scene in the early 2000s (and continuing to do so to this day with the weekly Just Jam sessions) to their more recent documentation of the Chicago footwork scene, they have continued to explore the most exciting music being made and shine a light on it. As documenters of these scenes they have had unrivalled access to the music at the heart of them, privy to huge archives of unreleased and exclusive dubs, and their selection if guaranteed to be on-point.

19 year old producer WATTVILLE is another exciting and unique producer. Channeling heavy tribal percussion and a skewed take on melody, his music is so unique, raw and urgent that it is impossible to ignore. His is the kind of music that has the ability to completely stop you in your tracks in a dance. Make sure you check out his forthcoming coming EP for Sonic Router for an indication of his production prowess and listen through his recent Liminal Sounds mix for a taste of what to expect from his set.

We are happy to also be welcoming RICHARD AKI from our GET SOME family to join the lineup. His impeccable selection and seamless mixing are on-point every time.
