Triggering an effect parameter every time the kick hits

Is there a way for me to trigger a specific effect parameter every time the kick hits in FL Studio? I want to change the reverb from middle to side when the kick hits. I think it'd sound cool(in headphones at least)

Sidechaining.
Add an Peak Controller onto the drum channel in the mixer (remember to untick mute), then whatever parameter on the reverb you want to adjust, link it to the Peak Controller and adjust the levels on the PC to get the desired effect.

What is the reverb on? Couldn't you just have two reverbs (one spread out) and automate the on/off switch of each so when the kick hits the non-spread verb turns off and the spread one turns on? Not sure how FL works, but thats how i'd do it in ableton. You could also set up the automation via switching to different sends with different verbs on them.

What daw are you using?
I think some applications let you side chain different parameters to a kick. otherwise
If your using reason a combinator patch with automation might do the job.(also maybe some cv patching)
I think Fl has a peak controller or something like that you can assign to different parameters(don't quote me haven't used Fl in a minute)
in anycase some nifty parameter automation would get the job done in any daw worth its cents.
Edit: beat to it.

I actually have reason and ableton but I mainly use FL Studio. It's actually more efficient to side chain using Fruity Limiter. Could I link a reverb parameter to that somehow? I also just realized that it'd be really annoying to have that effect on every kick. Maybe every third down beat or something would be better.

I'd dispute that personally, but that's only because using Peak is second nature for me.

You could make a copy of the kick channel, and have a dry channel and a wet channel (reverb wise)...so hits 1, 2 & 4 are on the 'dry' channel (no reverb) and hit 3 is on the 'wet' channel (reverb).

Automate the reverbs on/off or do what wub said.
