I was wondering, if anybody knows if this audio clip is processed with delay, or is it something like altiverb ADR kinda effect, that's also been used in many sci-fi genre type of media eg. game industry...etc...I keep hearing it on many dialogs especially helmet wearing characters eg. Judge Dredd or cyborg characters etc...I think its waves metal flanger, but can't really nail it down as good as the other professional sound designers...Any insight is appreciated :Q: ...Soundcloud by the way custom ni massive wave-tables, some links to production related site & materials;
this ones got some Q&A from DOA...converted to mp3...you can listen to...Phace and Billian Q&A's, plus some more good technical info and articles...http://www.facebook.com/pages/Istanbul- ... 9134850529 also somebody hexed the massive wave-tables, saying that he can load custom ones, read the link...
the guy on istnabul digital said he is going to make a tutorial on this subject, he also said that he is going to upload new wave-tables for massive...and I don't think NI will ever release such tool, its their marketing strategy to sell their new wave-tables for their upcoming massive edition/version...so best thing to do will try to pass this info on and keep it exclusive, so NI won't change their wave-table file-structure type/format...

Definitely reverb and some stereo widening crap... maybe very light use of a vocoder...

I have tried reverb, but delay sounded closer with the the feedback turned 20-70% wet...and time 0.3-7ms...the one above is in mono...so you saying its reverb but on mono channel...that is another thing I want to know if its alright to use stereo fx such as phasers flangers reverbs on mono channel to add texture and timbre to the sound instead of width ?

If the channel is mono you should use mono effects too, some stereo effects sound shit in mono

I think you could get a very similar effect with a very very small amount of ring modulation.

Probably a bit of hi-pass would help too.
