Friday Sweepstake: Cashing in my coin jar!

Post by magma » Fri Jun 29, 2012 1:43 pm

COMPETITION TIME

I have one of these 5L Thatchers cider bottles filled to the brim with coins and I'm finally going to cash them the fuck in tonight (Metro Bank Coin Machines free for non-members, spit out proper cash and charge no commission!)... before I lug it over how much do you reckon's in there?

I've been putting 1p, 2p, 5p and 10p coins in there for the best part of 6 years... it's literally full to the top of the screwcap, no room for any more coins!

Sweepstake sort of implies there's a prize... the winner gets to feel incredibly clever and brag for a total of no more than 45 minutes. I'll also buy them an entire pint if our paths ever cross and they remind me of their feat. :corndance:

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it,

because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

I've genuinely got no idea tbh... it's been filling up for so long that I think it could be anywhere between £50 and £400. There's a fair few 10ps in there, so fingers crossed! If it really comes in at over £200 I'm going to make a little mess in my trousers and then walk straight to West End DJ with the cash. :corndance:

I'm going to be optimistic - £234.27

Blenky, I really hope I owe you a pint by evening. :6:
