Minimal/Tech/Experimental

Post by 1point5 » Sat Jun 30, 2012 4:21 pm

Sorry if this is a repeated topic...

I've been getting into this kinda stuff recently:

and I'm really enjoying all of Sigha's other stuff as well, especially the more experimental bits. Only really heard of him because of the Scuba/hotflush connection - I've had some of his tracks for quite a while but have just been rediscovering them recently.

So I was wondering if anyone could point me to some decent similar artists? I'm not even entirely sure what subgenres this stuff falls into, I don't really have any idea about the differences between minimal house, minimal techno and tech house :6:

Cheers!

Bit harsh, the guy is just interested in learning more, you have to start somewhere. You don't fall out of the womb with an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things electronic music.

I hear ya, that tune is pretty cool as well

Since starting this I've found a load of similar-ish stuff that I love, discovered a goldmine in the deeper releases on Mote Evolver and pretty much everything that I've listened to of Komisch releases :W:

anything by wolfgang voigt and his profan label is always good. check that out for actually decent minimal experimental stuff - and chain reaction, perlon and playhouse records :D
