There are so many tips, tricks and sneaky things to do in Ableton!

I would say one of the features I use the most is audio effects racks and instrument racks. In audio effects racks you can set up as many parallel chains as you want on one channel and map multiple parameters to one macro control. You can also cross fade between the chains you have set up. Instrument racks let you use multiple synths on one MIDI track so you can layer up as many synths as you like to create big sounds.

If I went into too much detail here my post would be far too long but I suggest reading the manual first or if your like me and find that a bit tedious then I think they have their own Youtube channel and there is many other videos from other Ableton users explaining everything you will need to know.

Here are a few videos which explain some of the features, they are well worth watching before you start:

Watch all the youtube videos you can, dubspot's and tom cosm's videos are a good place to start. And ya, fuck around with racks a lot, you can get some awesome results with them.

Who cares if he bought it or not?

If youre just starting though, I'd suggest giving up the rest of your life and focusing on learning it inside and out if youre serious. Try to put in at least 6-8 hours a day.

Ableton does.

I would suggest really learning the Session view. I know that there are a lot of people here that only work in the arrangement view, but they are missing out on one of the most important aspects of Live.

Exactly, and as far as I know, I don't think anyone here works for ableton.

But the joke was, that he said he brought it and £10 Bag just asked where did he brought it, so i dont care if he bought it or downloaded it.
