Ok... So on a previous DAW i used to use there were 4 bus's and 4 sends in the master mixer. I'm on fl studio 10 now, just starting to learn it and I'm noticing only 4 sends and no bus. Whats the difference?

Every mixer channel/insert can be used as a bus or send, so you effectively have unlimited. Just right click the channel arrows and 'Send to this channel only' or whatever it's called, experiment with that.

In reason it's different.. But basically it would be if you had two synths in one combinator

Not really, just route multiple channels into a mix channel and you have a bus

I know that but I just figured it would be easier to learn what a bus is within a combinator

Yeah I see, not sure though if it's easier to understand that way as you'd need a mixer there aswell to control each sound. Plus it makes it more cluttered this way. But if it works for JT then its good, I know it would confuse me if I had to learn it that way

I guess I though two thors and a line mixer would be the easiest, but to each his own
