Although it isnt really my cup of tea, it sounds cool.

Sounds a little empty to me too. I was thinking of a fat synth beneath it. :)

yeah do i need more of it? i've got reverb that is on one of my snares and on quite a few other elements of the track, sidechained of course. do you think that perhaps i could use more?

Yeah, it's a little bare. I think you should add some Hi Hats and as dub by_rdam said, add a big phat synth to it.
