my girlfriend just gave me some old turntables and a mixer they had kicking around the house, they are soundlab DLP3R's, one of them seems to be missing a needle, the other one is completely missing its cartridge? ( i think thats the correct term) so one of them just has an arm with nothing attached to the end, the other one has a black chassis type thing with a stylus on the end, i think ill be wanting to just get new Cartier for the pair of them with needles etc, i dont know what im looking for though, i had a google search and looked for parts but i really couldn't figure out what i needed, can anyone give me some advice or link me to the parts i need?

sorry if im not being descriptive enough, ive never owned turntables before, but im not going to pass up the chance to learn for free haha :)

thanks!

edit*

after more searching im thinking this might be what im after? some could someone confirm this for me befor ei order?

From what you have described, yes that is what your looking for.. A cartridge and stylus needle..

Next thing to look up is, calibrating the tone arm. And youl be able to play some music :) not heard of the brand before but for learning purposes you should be set to go.
