looking at Xone 42, need help figuring stuff out

Well, I've been DJing for about a year and a half or so in high school, and have acquired a bunch of entry-level equipment (speakers, cables, a soundcard, various mounts, and a Numark controller), and I'm looking to move up to some serious-grade gear for DJ work in college.

Anyway, that being explained, I'm looking at the Xone:42 mixer, but I have some questions in the way in the way of its specs and how to do various things on it (after all, if I'm going to get a pro-grade mixer and need time to figure it out, might as well start learning now).

I know with several of the Xone mixers, such as the Xone:22, the entire deck is illuminated, including all texts, knobs, sliders and what not, but is this true for the :42? How are those lights turned on/illuminated? Also, does anyone have any photos they can share (doesn't necessarily have to be the 42) of the illuminated deck so I can see what to expect?

As it has XLR outs and my speakers only have RCA ins, do I need to buy these to connect or can I route through the Booth circuit?

Also, about the FX capability. Do the sends and returns have to go to a dedicated f/x unit or could they be routed into an unused channel on a soundcard and have the computer do the sending and returning for f/x? (I use Ableton, so I could slam f/x to the S&R leads)
