Looking for advice on sampling vocals - Ableton Live
Hey there, musically I think I am advancing satisfactorily. My techniques for completing my tracks are getting more complex, in a good way. But I think I skipped an important step in my growth by not ever remixing tracks that I really like, which is something that I actually wanted to do when I first got into making my own dubstep. Basically, I'd like to know if anyone could direct me or give me advice on how to sample vocals. I dont want any of the original music interfering with what I am dropping the samples into. What is the best way to do this? I am using Live 8 if it helps. Thanks in advance.

I have fl and I use Edison and slicex. You can chop it any way you want. I usually sample inspectah deck. But acapellas4u dot con has tons of acapellas.

Yeah, kind of figured after scrolling through other topics in the General. Being new I wasnt sure how to get rid of the post or if that was even possible. Thanks for the redirection and thanks for your input ronnikins22, I appreciate it!Heijerospook wrote:http://dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=159713

Sample Sundays!
If im working on something and the acapella is a different BPM then what im working on, Ill cut it up to 32'nds, 16ths, or 8ths, And make it somewhat unrecognisable
But if i really want to match the bpm's ill throw it in serato, Traktor, VDJ, Or whatever your dj software is,
And speed up the acapella while im recording it with the internal function of audicity,
Then ill toss it back in Fl, Abelton, Logic, Cubase,........
Dubturbo
And I go from there, I hope that Helps
