i love most of the music that comes out of this forum! definately my favourite forum on the site (apart from the SNH)

At the same time: house and techno are very broad styles of music and I find that some artists and styles are sometimes unaccounted for within the scenes that this forum revolves around.

So post youtube/soundcloud/whatever links of good underground tracks and artists you feel are underrepresented! Maybe this thread can become a compendium of knowledge for people wanting to delve further into house and techno after picking up on stuff within the house forum and to show how diverse the genre can be? We have the techno thread in the SNH but I think it would be cool to have something in here for people as well. I realize this thread might also get quite subjective as people have different opinions on who/what is underrated.

To be fair, That Isolee track, albeit the Freeform mix, was a big big track on the soulful/deep scene i was on 10/12 years ago!

lol nice seeing someone knowing some good stuff like isolee etc. i know beau mot plage was a massive track when it came out (i wasn't old enough to be into this stuff when it came out) but i think a lot of that music is forgotten or overlooked now in the current scene where everyones obsessed aping acid/chicago/detroit from twenty years ago etc.

i was just hoping people mite post some tracks that are a wee bit forgotten or different to the usual stuff that gets posted in here or maybe its just a silly idea

love vladislav delay!!!! prob my favourite producer everrrr. also his stuff under sistol and uusitalo aliases as well. moritz von oswald trio with him and max loderbauer is good too.

his house stuff as luomo is the one for me tho imo. mite be cheesy to some but vocalcity and the present lover were defining albums. his newer stuff is different but is still really good as well.

Dunno if this is underrated per say, but its just so nice, gonna have to put it here:-

^doesnt really matter if a tune is underrated or not when its that funky! need to check out more masters at work. i've been getting into the strictly rhythm stuff too recently as well. a lot of 90s house stuff i'm not really that familiar with so its really fun discovering all this stuff now.

MAW, early Armand Van Helden stuff, Henry Street Recs, and Nervous Recs are good places to look for that kinda stuff.
