ive heard a few months ago that skream was supposed to do a gig in toronto in august, but since there hasn't been an official posting and the 10th is next weekened, the event in tdot probably got canceled the same way shakleton's and ntype's were

The fact that you may have heard rumblings about a show or shows before the details were finalized does not mean they were canceled. This is the fault of the rumour mill not of the promoter.

How about supporting the people who are trying to build a scene in your city rather than making blanket, uneducated assumptions?

trust me it wasn't rumours, i can't say who told me about those gigs, but it was someone very involved into dubstep parties in the city, especially regards to out of towners........im just dissapointed that the scene here isn't big yet, that's why all those gigs get canceled - money.........i wanna see skream playing infront of 700ppl - that would be nuts;)

You're a donut. I was the one doing the N-Type show, and the reason it got cancelled was because my night got double booked and I had nowhere else to do it. Basically even if it did happened, I still was planning on losing money on the party, so people like you could have a good time. Makes me wonder why I do it really.

Personally, having promoted parties like this in Toronto, I have full sympathy for anyone who is reluctant to do big-name headliner dubstep parties and no sympathy for anyone who bitches at the promoters about it. You try putting $1500-$2000 on the line for something that only 150 people are likely to show up for and then we'll talk about pushing the "scene".

PS: I am in London and seeing Skream in front of 700 people is not even something that happens regularly here.
