Just recorded a mix this morning, wouldn't mind some opinions / feedback on my overall ability as a 'DJ', this was done using a Reloop Digital Jockey 2 Master Edition and Traktor Pro 2, and it should be known the sync button was not used once ^^

(Yes, I decided to submit it to the SW4 DJ competition, for lulz ^^)

That's fair enough, each to their own, wasn't my normal kind of stuff to play, but had to stay within the rules of the competition ^

Haha thanks man, yeah it was more a demonstration of my mixing ability etc than anything else :lol:

Sorry, do you mean this competition;

Win the set in the Bedrock arena at South West Four
I'm going to take a guess that you've never been to a Bedrock night judging by that tracklist :cornlol: :cornlol: :cornlol:

(EDIT - Just spotted this one as well;

Which I'm guessing it might be now in hindsight)

It must be the first one, otherwise he would have recorded a dnb + dubstep set.

Then I stand by my :cornlol: if that tracklisting is for Bedrock.

Right.

Do you know what sort of music they play at Bedrock nights, or indeed what sort of music John Digweed/Nick Muir make, or release on the Bedrock label?

Lulz, admittedly not, although I never expected to win haha

Listening to http://www.mixcloud.com/johndigweed/transitions-with-john-digweed-bedrock-minimix-exclusive/ is making me realise how off my music selection may have been though haha, ah well

Just a little, yeah ;)

To win this sort of contest, you'd need probably 6/8 properly on point house/prog/tech tracks, at least one example of layering (3 deck mixing, acapella, looping etc), and maybe a couple of re-edits and/or productions of your own.

Assuming this isn't done on just votes/listens or anything retarded :lol:

Haha, think you may well be right there, Wub! ;-)

Think this guy may well end up winning...
