Dub Mix vs. Instrumental?

So this has been bothering me for a while now...what exactly is the difference between a "dub mix" and an "instrumental mix"? I've seen tracks marketed as both, but usually they're just purely the original mix without vocals. Just wanted to know if there were clear cut definitions for these.

I prefer songs that have sampled vocals. Instrumentals bore me.

dub mixes have got various effects and sometimes a different arrangement from the original.

a dub mix is often just a guy sitting by a mixing desk, all channels playing on loop, messing about with faders and sends with record on to create a new track.

what dididub said though "dub" has been used pretty ambiguously for a while now in dance music.

Yeah, it can also mean just the instrumental with only pieces of the vocal included. Like the chorus or maybe just 1 word.
