I recently began using Stanton T62s along with my CDJs for DJ sets. I've only been using them for about 3 days, and after just this small amount of time the condition of the vinyls has gone down pretty noticeably, specifically the very few seconds of a tune from cueing. Is there any way to keep the damage on them to a minimum, or does this just begin to happen no matter what?

Vinyl shouldn't be wearing out noticeably after 3 days, that's insane.

Do you have your needles setup particularly heavy?

Well technically every time you play a record you scratch it causing minuscule damage. Especially if you cue a lot or scratch. I dunno what cartridge/stylus those Stantons use, I assume it's their own cheapish one, but might wanna check into a better quality ones for them to put any damage to a minimum. I like Ortofons but some people swear by Shure, like the 447. Also make sure the weight is appropriate and they are calibrated okay. Ouch! As said above, check the conition of the stylus your using, maybe get some better ones if you can afford it, don't have the weight set too heavy, just heavy enough, and when cuein up don't wacka wacka for ages before dropping the tune in, it makes me cringe seeing people do this, a little bits fine but if you are doing that then expect to say bye to your vinyl.
