Machinegun basses

Post by Trichome » Tue Aug 07, 2012 10:19 am

Some tips on how to make basses like this:

20 seconds in

my sound:
Soundcloud

basically, just take any sound you want, throw it in a sampler, and add a steep downwards pitch envelope. (sounds alot better with heavy distortion/compression) these sounds dont even have to be in key, the trick is all in the pitch envelope and the quick stutters. heres a picture of my arrangement:

Is there any way you could show a screenshot of how to put on the envelope?
