Ive been going crazy on documentaries lately!
I think I've seen almost every video vice has put out
Vanguard is pretty cool depending on the subject.. Sometimes I'll just go on Netflix and type in random stuff and try it out

Trashy horror and exploitation no-one else has heard of or could be bothered to even watch anyway.

There's always more films to discover...

It took me someting like 37 years to find a film that I absolutely had to turn off because it disturbed me to the core...

2 in the same week - either it was a particularly bad week - or I hit my sore spot on the netflix recomendations universe...

but I LIKE to watch films - so that wasn't a good thing - just interesting in a personal exploration kinda way.

Watch em again. I've been watching the same films and shows pretty much all my life. When I find something I really like, which is rare, I can watch it many times. When I know the dialogue and what's gonna happen, it makes it even better. It's almost some weird comfort thing.

Honestly bro, that strikes me as sad. Personally can't stand watching filmed entertainment more than once unless it is exceptional, and even then, only maybe once or twice a decade.

But, I've been reading the same books by thomas pynchon over and over again. But I swear they are so dense, every read through is like totally fresh and mind blowing. Total Tom jenkinson of the literary world.

So Noam, I guess read Thomas Pynchon would be the answer. :)

I don't really rate Tom Jenkinson tbh, all about his brother Andy/Ceephax! Acid on sea.
Why is it sad? Once or twice a decade seems weird to me. If you love it, why not watch it again? Can't tell you how many times I've seen every trailer park boys episode over the years. I'm constantly noticing new stuff and finding things funny I didn't laugh at before.

I'm not sayin', you know what I'm sayin? But I'm sayin', you know what I'm sayin'?

I can't stand re-watching movies, don't see the point.

very few movies reward multiple viewing, Primer is one I can think of.

Primer is one of the ones I've seen many times actually. Took me a couple of viewings to 'get it' all, then a couple more for fun or after a night of psychedelics or whatever. It's a rare thing, not like I watch every movie 10 times, but there's a small list that I like to rewatch. Usually from multiple angles, not just as a viewer, but kind of watch trying to see the director's perspective one time, or focus on character interaction, or watch from a cinematography/camera work point of view largely ignoring the movie and focusing on the scenery and such. That kinda thing. I agree though, few movies are worth it.

Mr Nobody, I keep mentioning this film but no1 else seems to have heard of it, bloody good film (despite having jared leto in it) and took me a couple of watches to get my head around it all, I probs ought to watch it again though coz I'm sure there is more stuff that I missed in it

saw that recently after it had been heartily recommended... found the segments about theoretical physics interesting, but the cheesy romantic storyline kinda ruined it for me
it was decent, nothing to write home about imo, probably would have appreciated better if it hadnt been pitched as "this awesome movie i absolutely have to watch" tbh
