A True pioneer, and innovator. I remember reading that just before she died, she attended a prodigy gig at their request, and absolutely loved it, What a gal!

That documentary was incredible. By having the gear, I meant the tapes and the tape players and things of that sort.

I was watching loads of videos on her a few weeks ago as it happens. The amount of work she'd have to do to do something we'd consider simple now is staggering. There was one tune of hers I heard which sounded unbelievably ahead of her time. Hats off to Delia.

I watched some video that said the Brits were way behind the curve with recording gear until about the early 70s. Like thy didn't have multitrack tape n stuff.

They actually did a documentary about her on the history channel not to long ago. I found the music she made not really interesting. What she used to make it though was mind blowing. If I was given the stuff she was using at that time I probably would have just closed up shop and called it a day. A lot of my friends really bash on electronic music and try to play it off as being simple and pointless. I think if they all would have seen that they might have changed their attitude a bit. What she did was really quite amazing.

Cheers for the links Mad, looks like interesting viewing! Fuck breaking bad, on these when I get in from work tomorrow. Can picture more of the beeb's archive stuff being quite interesting. Missed the kruatrock docco last time it was on Iplayer, may hafta look that up n'all.
