Moombahstyle - A fusion genre of Hardstyle & Moombahton

Ok, I just want some opinions on this. what if there was a fusion genre between Moombahton & Hardstyle. The BPM still at 110 like in Moombahton, the same snare pattern, kicks in Hardstyle (the pitched kicks), and synths of both genres. Does anyone think this is a decent idea?

moombah is not a genre, it's just a kind of edm that has been around all over the world but the USA. Anyway, it's just BPMs. You're supposed to be an artist who is doing music for the sake of doing it, to fulfill your artistic desires before anything else. If you want to make a song that has hardstyle elements at 100 bpm because you think that will sound great, do it. You don't need our approval.

Simply saying "get out'' too someone who is new to producing(Judging by the song in he's signature), who is trying out new ideas is 'Simply' discouraging. Just because this is a 'dubstepforum'... and because you're against said "genres" (Hircine), that is no reason to say such things. Now if you're offended by my scribbling on a forum, I hope you can respectively respond (Unlike alot of people I've met) to my 'scribbling'.

It's all good everyone. Just relax. He's still a budding producer.
Here's the deal OP: You have an idea, ya? And you wanted to share it with us to get our thoughts, yea?...Eventually you're going to get to the point where it won't matter. It's the ideas, the "what if I do this" moments, the "let's try this" kind of ideas that are what being creative and developing your own sound/style are about. There's this thing we have (much more so evident in younger people) to be validated by the opinions of others. If you're passionate about it, you persist through the harsh criticisms, the sarcastic replies on forums, etc and eventually end up saying to yourself, "Fuck it man, I really don't give a shit what anyone thinks." For me, creating an 8 bar loop from nothing but my understanding and creativity of EDM thus far, and actually jamming out to it?! fuck dude..that's the ultimate. Eventually those ideas will carve out an honest appreciation for what you create. Just don't strive for it.

Yeah, personally this doesn't sound like it'd be to my tastes, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.
Seriously, why do you care if anyone else thinks it's a good idea? Just do it and get on with it, no need to ask for validation at every step of the creative process

If only you'd been quicker in actually getting on and making tracks how you wanted them to sound instead of asking people if it was a good idea or not. Same thing happened with my great great grandfather when he came up with Young's Theory Of Relativity. Took a few minutes out of his day to ask his mate Albert if it was a good idea and BANG the idea was lost.
Alas poor genre, I knew him well...

my comment was tongue in cheek but I guess if you wanted you could probably infer that I thought it was a bad idea. you asked, I answered. no problem.

Sounds kinda cool! could see it getting super ravey. just make the kind of music you want to without validation

...... but this whole "sub-genreizing" of everything left and right is driving me crazy! If i make a track at 157.6bpm with trance chords sidechained to a hardstyle kick layered with a midrange wobble gated by an amen break, bouncy 808 sub plus industrial padz, with the sample "DAMN SON WHERE'D YA GIT DISS"......all with an effectrix preset every other 7th eighth note.....what kind of genre would that be? I guess what I'm trying to say is that good music shouldn't need a genre...particularly a another sub-genre. rant over
@Elektronikz: not trying to diminish or flame you or your idea, just essentially venting

Yes, why have genres at all. Why even bother to use the English language? We could just revert back to our ape ancestors and use gestures and grunts to describe everything.

Another overly facetious comment, good to see you're maintaining the consistency
Let's take this a step back and look at the development of the two genres (Moombahton & Hardstyle) that are giving birth to 'moombahstyle' in this thread, might make it a little bit easier for you to get your hand round;
Disco > House > Electro House > Moombahton
Disco > House > Hard House > Hardstyle
Of course, this is only at a base level...electro house for example has influences from electro, whereas hardstyle contains elements of trance, as does hard house...but that's an aside.
My point is - when you've drilled down into subsubgenres already, merging two subsubgenres to create a subsubsubgenre with it's own name is just a bit on the silly side.
tl;dr - Worry less about what's it called/people think of it, and just concentrate on making it.
Not rocket surgery

I would hate asking permission to do something I want to do.
Just make what you want!
