Are the stems of the original track available? i.e. bassline/melody/drums/etc

And where can we listen to the original?

So this is the only sample stem that is available? Hmmm, ok...do you have copies of the melody etc that don't have the voice sample layered over them?

Or is this lesss of a remix contest and more of a "make a tune with this vocal sample"?

Yup, it's pure from scratch, vocal stems only... Get creative, and lets see what you guys can do... I thought this would be cool, cause I am like the only brony musician here, so I want to see what you guys can do :3

*NOTE* OP updated, with info about acquiring the vocal stems..

A lot of unnecessary bad vibes in here...this is the Production group guys. If you want to rip on someone for having different tastes to you then go play in the Hideout.

i don't mean to be negative or discouraging, but do you not think you're perhaps rushing things a bit by planning to release an EP in a few weeks with tracks that are still unfinished?

I currently have two tracks done, so I got nothing better to do, than to give someone the opportunity to have some fun... The EP is a 3 track EP, but with this Remix, it'll be 4...

i'm not saying the remix competition is a bad idea, i'm just saying maybe sitting on the tracks for at least a few weeks once they're finished might be a good idea before releasing them. there'll inevitably be things you'll want to change and improve and it may also give you a chance to reflect on them and decide if they're really the best you know you can do. i used to rush tracks out onto the internet all the time and i've found that my output really began to increase in quality once i began to sit back and look at what i was doing maybe a fortnight or so later.

obviously i'm not going to tell you what to do here, and i'm not even a nobody in the production game. i'm just suggesting maybe taking a more cautionary approach to it all so that you can try and ensure you're still going to be happy with your EP a few months down the line :)

Burial?

Anyway, I don't get this. People will maybe take part if the samples are half decent.
But probably just to add those to their collection.

Hey, bro, thanks for the input.. I have been working on this EP hard, for the last two months straight... I was just thinking that, while I work on mine, they can do theirs... I am pretty productive in my music environment, so I tend to get stuff done pretty quick.. Watchin those tutorials, and learnin, nah mean?

Same goes with CAD or graphic design programs.. I have been learning Ableton for two years now.. I don't know a lot, but I know enough... Photoshop took me 4 years to almost master...

If I seem to post a lot about asking, or just advice and stuff, don't worry, it's just me trying to convince my self, of stuff I already know probably...

Balloon party was just a compilation album, featuring a bunch of brony musicians..

When I say Brony Musician, I don't mean it as a genre.. Brony is just what we are, we like the new My Little Pony, generation 4.. Frankly, 90% of bronies who like Friendship is Magic, hates the older 3 generations..

I say Brony Musician as, we are EDM producers, that make music, reflected from the experiences, we receive, with being apart of this community, thus through the show.. It's like any other fandom.. We get a fuck load of stereotypes everyday, but we are just normal people ^__^
