Just a brief idea. Occasionally get sent stuff that I know is good, but I don't really have the interest in or knowledge of or it just doesn't fit my site, so I leave it out. Might be an idea to have a pool of promo like this where we can pass it on to other reviewers that might have a better use for it?
Maybe a thread on here where we can just drop a little bit of info about the release, and if anybody's interested in reviewing it, and the label/producer is ok with it, then we can pass it on?
If there's going to be a centralised email address where labels can send promo, might be worth spelling it out clearly that whatever they send can end up in any one of the reviewer's hands.

yeah that's a good idea. we can set up an email address @dubstepforum.com for submissions if people think it would be useful
also to be clear - these don't all have to limited to dubstep reviews. it's probably best to keep it related and not do reviews on norwegian metal or whatever, but i think it should be as open as is useful to our membership, and most of our membership aren't just interested in dubstep... and quite frankly if they are, then that's a good reason for us to widen their horizons

Man I have an endless stream of shit from many many promo mailouts. Some good ones very very very occasionally also. Might be better to setup a private dropbox account? Can just dump text files in there with links, soundclouds etc.

Yep, that seems the best way to go about it.

yesss private dropbox is the one, i'm in the same boat as gareth, get sent 100-500 emails daily, and some things are awesome but dont really fit the vibe of my blog so i have to politely decline. would love to contribute to this as well.

Can you all list the emails you want access the dropbox from. I haven't got a paid account though, not much space left so either:
We use someone else's db account
or
If you haven't got a db account ask me for one so I can increase the space (referral = 500mb).

don't know if i'll do much reviewing but add me on if there's no limit to the amount of people added
I've stuck four folders in the future review material. the Slime and SoulStep releases have accompanying soundcloud streams so would be worth doing those first. Just leave a message in here if you pick one up to review so we don't duplicate work.

Just added Slime47 to the pool and removed the soulstep29 and losing suki12 as I put reviews of these up.
Exactly two years have passed since Disco Nutter & Roka's free release "Remixes:01" on Bonkerz Audio.
These 2 years went by so quickly, we barely noticed. Roka released 2 EPs for Digital Sanctuary Recordings, appeared on an Overtech Recordings compilation (alongside Ford, Place 2B, Asphexia, Camel, Ophlot and others) and had a track remixed by Culprate.
Disco Nutter took part in Red Bull Music Academy 2011 and appeared on compilations by Saturated!Records and Red Bull Music Academy (alongside Om Unit, Dorian Concept, Mark Pritchard, Brenmar, Canblaster and others).
This time around, the release is featuring a completely original track - "Only Things", in contrast to 2010's remix focused EP. Tradition dictates that the release should be available for free download, and it is! It's fat and it's colourful, so go ahead and click download. We hope that you'll enjoy it.
I hope you (or the reviewer) enjoy it. Thanks for your consideration!
Cheers,
Yasen

Excellent news, another one here:
Cheeky wrote:Thanks, the EP's on a heavier tip but without being screechy, here are downloadable private links to full quality WAVS of each tune
and heres information on the release and a little bio-
Dystinkt - Dystinktion EP (DMNDUB015)
Release Dates:
Feb 26th 2013 Exclusive to Beatport
Macrh 12th 2013 iTunes and General Release
Bradford based Dystinkt makes his debut with a 3 track EP that takes no prisoners. The tone and style of this EP can only be described as gully, representing that filthy, dark UK sound that has broken out of London and taken root in the Midlands and Northern England. Definitely one to watch in 2013.
Thanks for taking the time to review the EP, its much appreciated and hopefully I can manage more than one gunfinger!
I'll try and write somelthing interesting on this this evening, but if anyone else wants a pop (it'd be quite nice to have spearate views on the same release), feel free!
