Luke Fair - Plutoid EP
A DJ who earns the attention of the dance floor through focus and dedication, both inside the booth and outLuke Fair has
steadily been carving a reputation as one to watch as both a producer and dj! He has been releasing with some of EDM's most recognized labels, including Bedrock, Yoshitoshi, SAW, System Recordings and Low Pressings, as well as quality underground imprints such as Witty Tunes, Alternative Route, Discoteca and Thug Records and many more.
Now with three major compilations to his credit ('In House We Trust 3' alongside Desyn Masiello on Yoshitoshi, 'OS_0.3' on
Bedrock and 'Balance 011' on EQ Recordings), we have a massive EP ‘Plutoid’ all set to release only on Insomniafm Records this June. The EP includes remixes from Logiztik Sounds & Luxor Traum, Paul Jackson, Randall Jones and the winner of the remix competition JonQPublik. The original sound by Luke has a great mix of melody and elegant groove-driven progression. Hark bass with the kicks & claps adds an edgy dance floor twist, along with breathtaking pads and synths, giving the tune an intense emotion filled treat.
Logiztik Sounds & Luxor Traum remix starts with a tribal hypnotic bass which runs smooth throughout the track and seizes you
deep down. A slow driver of the original, this version has some good play of pads & tribal sounds, whipped up oscillating
synths maintaining a baleric mood throughout. If you need a dose of some Prog tech beats, Paul Jackson's version carries some unique key effects and bass-pounding tones & tempos. Creating a tech-permeated swing that builds up to the breakdown with some tweaking grooves, presenting the original with a mix of some interesting electro-pneumatic sounds. Starting with some progressive synths, Randall Jones gives the original with the 80s tribal drum and bass swing to the track. Getting right into a deep house groove with soulful disco vocal effects and driving chords. The word Cubewano is related to objects in our universe, and JonQPublik’s Cubewano remix fits in perfectly as he knows what he’s doing. Mellow start transitioning to some excellent break beats, gives a complete unique edge to this remix. Creating a spacey atmosphere with sweet use of dark ambient elements gives the track a great buildup with a driving bassline, a balance throughout the track, sure to keep you on your toes. Overall this remix fulfills its purpose of being a part of Plutoid, one of my favorite remix for sure.
This 5 track EP certainly sets a high bar with the quality of its sounds, and for lovers of good music this is recommended,
don’t forget to get yourself a copy of this release.
