Salmonella Ninjas

Post by FuDuzn » Sun Sep 23, 2012 11:47 pm

So after work I decide to go to Chili's and I order some boneless buffalo wings. Bite into a couple of them and they seem a bit 'off', they weren't pink in the middle but were a bit chewier then they should have been(also ate a couple before I noticed it). Then I cut open a big chunk and can see it was pretty badly undercooked. I did some quick googling and supposedly the chances of salmonella are pretty low for someone who is in good health, but I may be looking forward to a nasty case of the shits. And on the plus side my 'food' and drinks were on the house.........yay?

So tell me if I am going to die or not......or just share your food poisoning experiences here.

I eat undercooked food all the time because that's how I prefer it and I never got salmonella. I'm also a third worlder so yeah, I didn't die, you definitely won't.

That is a tune, a tune that I will listen to on the toilet on repeat if the 'worst case scenario' does happen, then at least I will have a good soundtrack to it.

biting into something a couple times probs won't result in your demise, you'll be fiiiine, salmonella is not very common in food now anyway

i've had food poisoning once in my life. i was making fish tacos way back when and made the dire mistake of defrosting fish on the kitchen counter in room temperature, then putting it back in the freezer to freeze again, only to defrost it a second time in room temp. not fucking recommended. i made the tacos, and ate two of them with huge pieces of cod, everything tasted normal..two hours later fucking hell broke lose. mild nausea quickly turned to severe nausea and i had to throw everything up that was in my stomach, even the bile. i got really dizzy, my bf had to help me to the bed and once i had settled in, i couldn't move for two days or i would have these severe bouts of throwing up more bile. the worst part about it was that the nausea would never go away, no matter how much i threw up. there was no way i could eat anything..it was the worst feeling in the world, i actually thought i was going to die at the time :cornlol: it rendered me completely immobile for two fucking days man..ridiculous. never again.

I had food poisoning on my 18th, coming out both ends for hours, sat on the toilet with a bin in my hands. Classy.

Got a really nasty case of Campylobacter from some undercooked chicken a few years, it was so horrible and painful that i'm now incredibly cautious whenever preparing chicken

you're going to die and it wont be nice :t:

my old housemate got it in Bolivia and they had to airlift him off a mountain to hospital

he was in hospital for two weeks, but his friends never visited him once because they went to Vivians and spent the two weeks he was in hospital doing coke everyday
