So, like, WW3

Kind of seems like all around the world major regional as well as international powers are going apeshit flexing on each other. N/S Korea always bubbling. Japan/China hosing each other down. Israel/Iran getting it on. China and Russia have committed to supporting Iran and Syria, the US is committed to supporting Israel, Japan and South Korea.
I've been around for awhile. I remember the Iranian revolution, I wore my yellow ribbon. Did the Cold War, the Fall of the Wall, Desert Escapades I and II. But the current situation seems to be the most perfectly crafted tinder bundle of my lifetime.
So, what's the word? Everyone hunky dory? More concerned about the price of bacon? Am I being alarmist, this is just how the world normally operates and all of these amassments are just for play, see who blinks first?

I think we've come to the understanding that if we blow up one place everyone blows up.
Thus no matter how much tension, whoever attacks first is going to be royally fucked since every country now can instantly film/hear about things around the world.
There wouldn't be any of that "I can politically hide my ass" like there probably was in WW II

Have you just started noticing the issue?
Imo, they've been around for years.
The world and it's issues are in a permanent state of flux.

Hardly, but there seems to be a significant intensification going on, and I'm talking about like right now, last couple of months.

I really don't think it's quite as simmering as everyone's making out this week/month... particularly, that RT article that everyone reposted over Facebook/Twitter about Iran was just plain scaremongering, frankly. Really dodgy journalism, especially the headline. Iran make statements like that all the time and have done for as long as I can remember... of course they'd respond if Israel got aggressive... but Israel don't tend to do aggression against nation states, they're too busy trying to secure their "borders" and, however minorly, extend the disputed parts of their territory. There's no territory to be gained attacking Tehran... that way lies only chaos.
China and Japan are always posturing too... after the horror of WWII, I sincerely doubt either of them would let the conflict get 'hot' again. China still bear some scars and I'm sure there's a vane of opinion that Japan deserve teaching a lesson, but they're far more interested in playing the long game and conquering the world through economic might... China would rather do an effective hostile takeover of Japan's economy than 'conquer' in any sort of traditional sense. China have the perfect trajectory at the moment, why would they want to ruin that by paying for what would likely be the most expensive war anyone's ever fought?
Interesting times are afoot. But interesting times are always afoot. Humans are reactive, everything changes every day.

I fully understand your views I just don't think it's a new scenario.
I know I mention African loads but the continent has been steeped in war for years without anyone really thinking too hard about it.
As Magma says though, I really don't think it's quite as simmering as everyone's making out this week/month.

you're supposed to be in a blind helpless panic, not remain calm and logically think world events through
personally, i agree, and i also think that negative thinking and belief in global collapse (and yes even december 2012 nonsense) actually spurs it on, especially in areas where it may not even be especially problematic in the first place. consumer fear is one of the best tools any govt can implement, and if you watch the news for even half a minute it feels like they're pouring boiling hot fear straight down your throat, and then the weather. internet news sources are starting to feel the same, as hyperbole draws in way more ad dollars than sanity.

There's a massive Malthusian wall ahead of us and for some reason we are, collectively as a species, not slowing down at all but apparently trying to accelerate towards it.
S'gonna hurt like a sum'bitch when we hit it too.

Lol, watch the news.
Nonetheless, I'm raising my alert level to orange.
To say that the world is always like this is similar but opposite to panic, imo. It is like catatonia or something. In my lifetime the US hasn't been so actively involved in military operations in so many countries. So many strategically important countries didn't go through revolutions. And most of all, Israel was far more busy killing Palestinians than fucking around with its regional neighbors.
I have to ask you level headed guys, like what would it take for you to start to scratch your chin and say, okay, this global situation is actually fucked right now, and any one of these rhetorically hell bent countries could actually start some shit?

Matthew 24:6-7
6 You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that you are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom... All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.
OP. What you are seeing is Bible prophecy being fullfilled. Roll your eyes, people, but it doesn't change the reality of the situation, or the truthfulness of the scriptures.
